(BOP) - The Bureau of Prisons is handing the inmate population keys to unlock a productive, crime-free return to the community. Beginning this year, inmates in federal prisons will have access to a wide variety of education programs provided through the i-Connect Inmate Education Network.
State-of-the-art desktop virtualization provides a robust and secure platform to deliver electronic GED 2014 testing - the first virtual environment in the world to do so effectively. In addition to GED 2014, i-Connect will include literacy programs, Adult Continuing Education programs, vocational training programs, and a wide range of reentry resources designed to unlock doors to employment and future success.
Studies show inmates who participate in education programs are 15 percent less likely to recidivate.
