(BOP) - On Tuesday, May 3, 2016, the Bureau of Prisons paid tribute to the agency's 26 fallen heroes during a memorial service at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C. Attorney General Loretta Lynch was the guest speaker. This year Senior Officer Specialist Merle E. Clutts was specifically honored, and his daughter, son in law and grandson were in attendance. Acting Director Kane addressed the crowd and thanked all Bureau staff for their outstanding efforts in support of our mission to protect public safety and reduce crime.
