Director Inch Visits Western Region Locations

(BOP) - On January 30 and 31, 2018, Bureau of Prisons Director Mark S. Inch visited with hundreds of Bureau of Prisons staff in the Western Region. Accompanied by Western Regional Director Mary M. Mitchell, Director Inch toured the Western Regional Office in Stockton, California, and two federal prisons, USP Atwater and FCI Mendota. The Director toured housing units and observed food service, recreation, vocational training and education.

On Wednesday, January 31, while at USP Atwater, the Director spoke at a staff recall where he provided valuable insights regarding the role and responsibility of corrections professionals. Staff from FCI Mendota and the Western Regional Office participated in the recall via video conference.
